Fixed Fee or Pay As You Go?
Fixed Fee programme
One fixed price for the whole journey. Includes up to 4 embryo transfers, embryo storage, translation, notary, DNA testing, local transport and a contingency budget for complications. A caesarean, a new surrogate or a new IVF cycle are charged only if needed. Best if you want certainty.
Pay As You Go plan
A lower starting price. Covers one IVF cycle, one surrogate, one embryo transfer, standard health insurance for your surrogate, legal services, the birth and your baby’s registration. Extra transfers, embryo storage, translation, notary, DNA testing, a new surrogate or a new IVF cycle are charged from a fixed price list, only if you need them. If you expect to need several extra transfers, the Fixed Fee programme usually costs less.

● Understanding each cost
Surrogacy costs explained, category by category
Surrogate compensation and expenses
Your surrogate is paid fairly and on a fixed schedule. Her compensation includes monthly support throughout the programme, payments at each trimester, a final compensation after the birth, maternity clothing and a wellbeing bonus. Her recruitment and lodging costs are included here as well.
Surrogate screening
Before any surrogate is matched with you, she is medically, psychologically and socially screened by our local team and the clinic. This includes her medical tests and the time our case managers in-country and at head office spend screening, matching and supporting her.
IVF, embryo creation and embryo transfers
Your partner clinic’s IVF package, embryo freezing and 12 months of storage, your surrogate’s endometrial preparation and up to four embryo transfers. If the clinic’s package includes fewer transfers, we buy the additional transfers for you. Unlimited transfers are available as an option.
Egg and sperm donation
If you need an egg donor, you have two routes. A clinic donor comes from our partner clinic’s own donor programme. Or you can choose a KinPath catalogue donor with a Standard, Silver or Gold profile, from €3,500. Your estimate shows egg donor compensation as its own line, and the clinic’s egg collection and medical costs are part of your programme price in both cases. Every donor is medically and psychologically screened. Donor sperm comes from an accredited sperm bank. Whichever you choose, the donor cost is fixed in your programme price.
PGT embryo testing
Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A) checks that an embryo has the correct number of chromosomes before it is transferred. It can reduce the number of failed transfers and the risk of miscarriage. Our PGT option includes testing of six embryos.
Pregnancy care, delivery and insurance
Your surrogate’s health insurance and life insurance, medication after a positive pregnancy test, prenatal check-ups, the hospital delivery and obstetrician, and a medical contingency budget for complications.
Legal services and parentage
Legal services for you and your surrogate throughout the programme, notarial services, translation and DNA testing for your baby’s documentation.
KinPath coordination and case management
Programme management, clinic coordination, 24/7 support for you, the KinPath journey app, and the security of a fixed fee: when something unexpected happens, KinPath carries the cost, not you.

● Beyond headline prices
Fixed fee versus “from” pricing
Some agencies publish a low headline price and charge separately for PGT, legal parentage procedures, additional embryo transfers, twin pregnancies or even surrogate compensation. Before you compare prices, ask every agency these questions:
Included in your fixed fee
✔ Is surrogate compensation included in the price?
✔ How many embryo transfers are included, and what does each extra transfer cost?
✔ Are PGT, legal parentage and birth certificate procedures included?
✔ Who pays if the pregnancy needs a caesarean, hospital stay or specialist care?
✔ Can the price change after I sign the contract?
At KinPath the answers are simple: it is included, and no, the price does not change.
● Payments by milestone
When you pay
Your fixed fee is paid in stages linked to clear milestones in your programme, so you are never paying far ahead of your journey. Your exact schedule is set out in your contract.

● FAQ
Surrogacy cost: frequently asked questions
How much does surrogacy cost with KinPath?
A single KinPath programme starts from €49,500 in Accra, €73,500 in Bogotá, €73,500 in Mérida and €83,000 in Mexico City on our Fixed Fee programme when you use your own embryos. A Fixed Fee programme with a clinic egg donor costs €57,000–€86,500, and with a KinPath Standard catalogue donor €60,000–€89,500. Our Pay As You Go plan starts from €47,500. Use the calculator for your exact estimate.
Is the Fixed Fee price really fixed?
Yes. Your price is set in your programme contract and does not change after you sign. Surrogate compensation, insurance, legal services, delivery (natural birth), up to 4 embryo transfers, embryo storage and a contingency budget are all included. Extras are charged only if they are needed, from a fixed price list: a caesarean (€4,100), a new surrogate, or a new IVF or egg donor cycle.
How does Pay As You Go work?
Pay As You Go covers one IVF cycle, one surrogate and one embryo transfer, with standard health insurance for your surrogate, legal services, the birth and your baby’s registration. Embryo storage, translation, notary and DNA testing are not included. If you need more, for example another embryo transfer, a new surrogate or a new IVF cycle, each step is charged from a fixed price list. You can upgrade your surrogate’s health insurance to a premium policy. If you expect to need several extra transfers, the Fixed Fee programme usually costs less.
What happens if an embryo transfer fails?
On the Fixed Fee programme up to four embryo transfers are included. If a transfer does not result in a pregnancy, the next transfer is already paid for, and you can choose unlimited embryo transfers for approximately €5,000 more. On Pay As You Go, each extra transfer is charged from your price list.
What is a double programme?
A double programme means two surrogates carrying in parallel. It works like two single programmes with all the benefits of both, and the second programme is 20% cheaper.
What is the difference between a clinic donor and a KinPath Standard, Silver or Gold donor?
A clinic donor comes from our partner clinic’s own donor programme. KinPath catalogue donors let you choose a donor profile: Silver and Gold donors have higher levels of education, professional backgrounds and highly sought physical characteristics, and Silver donors may have previous donation history. All donors are medically and psychologically screened.
Is PGT embryo testing worth it?
PGT-A confirms that an embryo has the correct number of chromosomes before transfer. Transferring a tested embryo can reduce the risk of failed transfers and miscarriage. Our PGT option covers six embryos.
Can single men and same-sex couples use surrogacy with KinPath?
Yes. KinPath works with single intended parents and couples, including same-sex couples. Eligibility can depend on the destination, and we confirm the right programme for you at your free consultation.
Why is surrogacy cheaper in Mexico, Colombia and Ghana than in the USA?
Medical, legal and living costs are lower. The quality of care is not. Our partner clinics are established IVF centres, and our surrogates receive fair compensation, full insurance and continuous support from our local teams.
What if my surrogate needs a caesarean?
A caesarean is not included in any programme. If one is medically needed, it is charged as a contingency extra at €4,100 (your surrogate’s caesarean compensation plus the doctor and hospital fee). You can also choose a planned caesarean in the calculator.
