Surrogacy in Georgia

Program Status: Suspended

● ‎ About the Program

Due to significant changes in the Georgian surrogacy landscape, we have permanently closed our program in the country. The influx of foreign agencies—primarily Russian and Ukrainian—has led to a sharp decline in the availability of Georgian surrogates. Many agencies have turned to importing surrogate candidates from outside Georgia, including from Albania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. This practice does not meet our ethical or logistical standards, and we consider it unworkable. Furthermore, the Georgian government has announced that it will ban surrogacy for foreign intended parents from 2026.

Georgia was once a reliable and affordable destination for heterosexual married and de facto couples seeking surrogacy. The legal framework allowed for compensation of surrogates and clearly assigned parentage to the intended parents at birth. However, given the scarcity of qualified surrogates and the impending legislative changes, the program is no longer viable.

We understand this change may be disappointing to some prospective parents. Please contact us to learn more about currently active programs in Mexico, Colombia, and Ghana, or to discuss which location may be the best fit for your family.
