Surrogacy in Ukraine

Program Status: Suspended

● ‎ Update on Ukraine Program

We are deeply saddened by the devastating conflict in Ukraine. Our hearts remain with our dedicated colleagues who continue to endure unimaginable circumstances—many sheltering with their families in underground bunkers as cities are bombarded. Their bravery has been extraordinary: clinic teams have worked tirelessly to safeguard embryos and genetic material, relocating them where possible.

Out of respect for their safety and the need to ensure ethical, stable care for all involved, we have suspended our Ukraine surrogacy program until it is safe to resume operations. We remain committed to supporting our partners and clients, and we will return to work in Ukraine the moment it becomes possible to do so with care and certainty.

Summary

● ‎ Safe, Legal, Proven

Why Intended Parents Chose Ukraine

Before the Russian attack, Ukraine was one of the most sought-after surrogacy destinations for eligible couples. The country offered a clear legal framework, high-quality medical care, and an efficient process managed by experienced local professionals.

● ‎ Framework

Legal Structure

Only straight married couples could access surrogacy programs in Ukraine. Surrogacy contracts were legally recognized when signed in front of a notary, and local legal experts managed all necessary documentation, including powers of attorney, surrogate agreements, and birth registration.

● ‎ End-to-End Service

Your Experience

Our Ukraine program operated on a fixed-cost, all-inclusive basis. Services included:

IPs received detailed updates throughout the pregnancy and had access to video calls, translators, and case managers. Most clients were matched with a surrogate within weeks, and transfers happened quickly once medical and legal steps were completed.

Surrogates & Donors

Gestational surrogacy (no genetic link to surrogate) was the only permitted form. Surrogates underwent extensive screening and were supported by medical staff throughout the pregnancy. Many chose surrogacy to support their families or improve their living conditions.

Egg donors were thoroughly vetted for health, education, and family background. Detailed profiles were provided, and donors typically had prior healthy births.

Looking Ahead

We remain hopeful for the future of Ukraine. When safety returns, we are committed to working once again with our partners in Kyiv and resuming a program that has brought so many families to life. In the meantime, our active programs in countries like Mexico, Colombia, and Ghana are open and operating with the same professionalism and care.
